We were singing “Send Me Out” when God’s promises and mine were made true. The first time I sang that was during the WSC in Batangas and now, I was in Hong Kong. It was their WSC Echo Conference and that just made everything feel so surreal. The lyrics were coming into life and His love was just overflowing.
I wanna be Your hands and feet
I wanna be Your voice every time I speak
I wanna run to the ones in need, in the name of Jesus
I was reminded of something I have seen before, a love so great that it manifests in everything and in everyone around me. I wanted to be His hands and feet, I wanted to be His voice every time I speak and I wanted to run to those who were in need in Jesus name, but He has caught me by surprise by letting me feel all of those through our community in Hong Kong. They were His hand and feet every time they showed their dedication and their commitment in their service. They were His voice when they shared their stories of hope, faith and love. They were there to help those who were in need, in all aspects, and they were there not because of themselves, but because of Jesus. This was not my promise, but His. He has promised this love, and He has promised to show me how much I am loved. This experience has made me love Him more and has made me to really know how I should be loved because He first loved me.
Here am I, I will go
Send me out to make You known
And because I have experienced this love, I am here. He has ignited something inside of me. I cannot contain the love He has given me. Unworthy as I am, yet He loved me. Wouldn’t we want other people to experience this love? Wouldn’t we want them to know of the hope that we hold on to? Big questions right? All of those did scare me, but God made it clear that whoever He’ll send out, He’ll be there to give graces that would equip them for His glory.
Thank God for sending me to Hong Kong! I am blessed to be in a community that has shown me that no matter where we are, as long as we have Jesus in our hearts, the world would be full of hope, faith and love.
