Dati rati, sometimes I don’t appreciate small things or blessings God has given me. But now, since I’ve started to become a member of CFC SFL), I am much more appreciative. I am so thankful that I am a member of this community. I am happy in serving Him, our God. This Committed Servants Weekend (CSW) held last October 1 & 2, 2011 at Tagaste Retreat House, Tagaytay City made me feel and realize how great God loves us. This retreat helped me realize a lot (as a beginner) through the workshops we had – one in handling conflicts such as personality conflicts, love conflicts and managing relationship between brothers and sisters; another was how to market Jesus (radical evangelization) using yung mga simple at pangkaraniwang bagay at pangyayari. Yung mga natutunan ko ditto, I can apply sa household and personally din.
Radical God ang theme ng CSW. Sarap na feeling na si God wants us to become His friends. Sabi Niya, “I shall not call you servants anymore, because a servant does not know his Master’s business. I now call you friends because I have made known to you everything I learnt from my Father.”
We are Jesus Christ’s friends. He gave us His radical love. Loving God means obeying Him, example is avoidance of wrongdoings. We are brothers and sisters in Christ and are committed to care for one another. Eto yung inutos Niya sa atin “This I command you, love one another. (John 15:13). There is no greater love than this, to give one’s life for one’s friend. Ang hirap. It’s about sacrificing for others. Yung ginagawa natin yung isang bagay nay un for them without hesitation, bukal sa puso natin, hindi humihingi ng kahit anong kapalit because we love them. Sabi nga, “no pain, no gain”. Now that I am affirmed by God’s love, God asks us to love radically our families, friends and other people. Hindi ako magsasawang tumulong and love, as long as I can, especially to my family, friends and others. Thank You, God, for Your radical love, for the friendship we have now.
